<내일 건네줄 사과>는 ‘훔쳐온’ 사과 재배 기술을 둘러싼 식민과 이주, 개척과 이식의 흔적을 그려낸다. 영상 속 다른 언어의 두 화자는 한국, 일본, 그리고 만주를 배경으로 제국의 서사와 개인의 기억이 겹쳐진 자리에서 잊힌 목소리를 다시 불러낸다. 상해버린 토양, 추위 속 무른 사과, 메마른 가지들, 박제된 나비, 떼를 지어 이동하는 헬기들, 끈끈이 트랩에 갇힌 벌레들은 사과를 모래처럼 씹히는 감각으로 남긴다.

Tomorrow, you hand me an apple traces the legacies of colonization, migration, cultivation, and transplantation embedded in the “stolen” techniques of apple cultivation. In the video, two speakers in different languages recall forgotten voices, where the narratives of empire and personal memory overlap across Korea, Japan, and Manchuria. Decayed soil, apples softened by the cold, withered branches, pinned butterflies, swarming helicopters, and insects caught on sticky traps leave behind the sensation of apples crumbling like sand in the mouth. <루프>는 알고리즘이 불러낸 시티팝의 재유행에서 출발한다. 일정한 그루비한 리듬 속 화려한 이미지가 반복재생된다. 플레이리스트 배경 속 낭만화된 도시의 풍경은 최면을 걸 듯 매혹하고, 결국 과거를 소비의 현재로 회귀시킨다. (김효영)

Review
Loop takes its starting point in the algorithm-driven revival of city pop. Glamorous images repeat within a steady, groovy rhythm. The romanticized cityscapes in the background of the playlist appear hypnotically alluring, ultimately folding the past back into a present defined by consumption.

레고랜드로 불리는 환상의 세계는 섬의 가장 높은 곳에 깃발을 올리고, 끊임없이 폭죽을 쏘며 자신들의 승리를 말한다. 누군가의 꿈이었던 레고랜드는 누군가의 현실이되어 한국 사회 노동의 단면을 보여준다. 흑백의 캠 화면은 레고랜드라는 새로운 이름의 유적지 안을 배회한다. 그 누구도 책임질 수 없는 환상의 세계가 빗어낸 갈등의 깃발들만이 남아있다.

The fantastical world known as Legoland raises its flag at the island’s highest point, endlessly shooting fireworks to announce its victories. Once someone’s dream, Legoland has become someone else’s reality, revealing a glimpse of labor in Korean society. Black-and-white bodycam footage drifts through this new “ruins” called Legoland. 두 여성이 젊음을 쫓는다. 우리가 사는 도시 또한 젊음을 쫓는다. 우리는 이들을 따라 '젊음'이라는 매끄러운 세계가 작동하기 위해 사라진 것들과 곧 사라져갈 여러 사례들을 만난다. 매끄러움은 한시도 쉬지 않고 상상조차 힘든 다양한 방법으로 우리를 포섭한다. 심지어 '젊고 건강한 타인의 피'를 동원해서라도. '젊음'은 시대의 절대 강령이며 저항은 소소하며 한없이 무력하다. 우리는 이 세계에서 벗어날 수 있을까?
